Legacy Village of Cleveland Residents Enjoying Beautiful Duck Statues Donated by the Cleveland Public Arts Committee
December 2, 2021

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (December 2, 2021) – Legacy Village of Cleveland, a premier assisted living and memory care community serving Bradley County received a special donation of two hand-painted ducks from the Cleveland Public Arts Committee.

The community placed one of the colorful ducks on the assisted living veranda and the other in The Harbor courtyard, which is dedicated to memory care, so that all residents would have the opportunity to enjoy them.

“We are so grateful to everyone at the Cleveland Public Arts Committee for this wonderful gift. The ducks  have been an immediate hit with our residents, who have already fallen in love with them. It means so much to us to know that our community cares about our seniors,” Executive Director Christina Clevenger said.

The yellow duck, which was presented to The Harbor, was originally painted by Beth and Becky Hetzel from Hetzel Art Studios and sponsored by the Mark Johnson Family. Johnson’s mother is currently a resident at Legacy Village of Cleveland.

Residents in the community’s assisted living received a green duck that was originally painted by Bradley Wilson and sponsored by Edge Billboards.

"Our residents and team members are excited to have these ducks at Legacy Village of Cleveland. It is a beautiful piece of art that we were honored to have donated to us. Thank you to the Cleveland Public Arts Committee for thinking of us,” Clevenger said.

Prior to joining Legacy Village of Cleveland, the ducks resided on the Cleveland Greenway.
